Many Muslims were marching WITH the Christians in solidarity.

A Muslim woman named Basma Amin was among them.
 Amin stresses these points:

  • "The procession of Copts (Christians) was peaceful from the beginning, and there were many Muslims and ordinary people in the crowd to express their solidarity."
  • "Hooligans attacked the people twice, once at the Ahmed Helmy tunnel and again near the Ramses Hilton."
  • "The army opened fire on the people indiscriminately, with real bullets, and armored cars crushed the young people in the first rows of the march. Many people witnessed this. I personally saw the marks left by the bullets on their bodies.
Her witness is powerful.

My questions to you :
If a Mosque were burned in your town, would you condemn that act? Would you march with Muslims to protest the burning?  Would you give shelter to a Muslim family who were endangered?

I'll answer your questions. NO, NO, YES. NO, I see a mosque being destroyed no different than the tearing down of false idols and groves in The Bible. NO, I certainly wouldn't march with them to get satans lair back. Yes, I would give shelter and protection til it was safe for them to leave. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

Mosque or Church, both are teaching false doctrine so one is as good as the next.

If the folks in that mosque publicly denounce terrorism, then they can stay. otherwise, I'm not concerned.
sometime ago I read where the libs want Christian Churches to stop preaching about the sin of homosexuals etc.  religion of any kind may soon be dead in this country. except islam of course.

I'm pleased to hear you'd shelter some innocent folks.
But it seems odd that while some Muslims condemned a church burning in Egypt and marched with Christians tp protest that (which took a lot of courage, considering where they were) that you, and I understand you are a Christian, wouldn't even condemn the burning of a mosque in your neighborhood.
It's OK for "Christians" to burn a mosque in America, but not OK for "Muslims" to burn a church in Egypt?
I'm not going to call it hypocrisy, it just seems like a you are missing the point.

It's OK for us to carry on a crusade - sorry, I mean 'war' - in Muslim countries, but if the situation was reversed...?
Somehow, someway, we must reach an accommodation with the Muslims. Some sort of mutual understanding, respect and limits.  Maybe a curb and reversal of immigration, end of wars, and protection of rights of minority faiths in both our world and theirs.
But we won't get there with fear and aggressiveness.

burning mosques in america is illegal.  burning churches in egypt is probably not.
if you're a Christian in a muslim country, you know you could be killed, so ask for asylum here.
if you're a muslim in a Christian area, denounce terrorism or go where it's accepted.

Words have different meanings.
Are you a 'terrorist' if you oppose foreign invasions, colonialism, and destruction of your culture and way of life?
Or does the way you oppose this make you a terrorist? Are our bombs and bullets 'good', and those of our opponents 'bad'?  What makes that so?

Granted - destruction of houses of worship, torture, rape, indiscriminate killing, targeting of civilians is always wrong.

I really wasn't too concerned about terrorism until they came HERE and murdered 3000 people.
and since then it's been discovered that some of the mosques here were recruiting young people to train as terrorists.  maybe there are good muslims. why aren't they publicly denouncing that part of islam.  oh sure, the alphabet media has an imam on tv occasionally saying he doesn't believe in it.
we've got people demonstrating about almost everything, but mostly silence from muslims.
I've read some of their surahs and am convinced that they want all Christians and Jews dead.

I don't think it has a moderator.  why don't you volunteer.  I'll bet you'd keep that "delete" button hot.
which brings up a question.  do you think that everyone should totally agree ?  and if they don't would you delete their posts ?
plus you can't ALWAYS stay 100% on topic.

OK, I'll answer you as best as I can.

I don't volunteer because this is an American owned and operated Site.

There are a small number of posters here that have expressed their opinion that I shouldn't even be here. There are probably more that think so without posting that opinion.

The "Delete" button would be warm to very warm not because I do or do not agree with the poster's opinion but I see more personal attacks here then I believe Matt and the Senior Boss would give a "Pass"
to.
Note I said I believe. I have no proof I'm right.

As far as staying on topic, I agree, I do not believe you can stay on it 100% of the time and I have strayed myself more then just a few times, however I believe you can keep it civil for 99% of the time even if you address your post to a specific individual.

I'm to old to worry about getting back certain firearms rights. I don't even know if Canada ever had something equal to the 2nd. I doubt it.

In the 40  years I've lived here the trend has gone the same as in the USA, more restrictions and more hassle.

I do know  one thing for sure, unrestricted possesion and carrying of handguns is overwhelmingly rejected by the population here. The man/woman on the street considers your gun toting attitude remnants of the Wild Wild West. ;)

it's a proven fact that people that carry guns are very polite so as not to start a confrontation with someone.  if they think we are all wild cowboys, it's probably propaganda by those who are jealous of our freedom.  you guys should have joined us in 1776.

Scatter. You see American news and have an idea about the crime rate here. We never see any news of anything that goes on in Canada. How bad is violent crime in your cities, are there gangs there too?? POWDERMAN.  ??? ???
