The 87gr HP hornandy is a match bullet, so I wouldn't use them for hunting(they look a bit more streamline than the sierras though). The 85gr sierras is designed for medium game and many people brag about their killing abilities so I'd stick with'em for hunting. As for shooting paper, who knows which one would shoot best in your gun. I've shot the 85gr sierras and my gun did'nt like them much(1.5" groups at a 100yds when it'll do under .75") but I'm not slamming them, alot of people have great sucess with them on paper and game. For me I've settled on the 100gr speer grand-slams for deer and 70gr hpbt sierras for paper, groundhog, and turkey. Love these two bullets in the 243 along with the 70gr nosler ballistic-tip.
