moose,

Not sure which sight that is without looking but ebay sellers tend to put rare on a lot of auctions.  I would advise looking at www.edstc.com and look at Ed's prices before bidding.  He normally has the best prices and service and is generally cheaper on new items than used ebay items.

This sight was for the Super 14 as a Metalic Silhouette barrel. I once purchased a 41 magnum barrel with one of these sights and found it to be very user friendly for adjustments. I've found over the years that the crotch of the rear sight was matched with the front blade, making them almost caliber specific. My super 14' had the front sight silver soldered in place so switching rear sights meant grinding or adding material to the front of the front sight it was going to be used on. The large hangun calibers like a 357 Max and Mag, 41, 44, and 45 Win Mag would almost certainly use the same sights. However, the 30-30, 7mmTCU, 6.5 TCU, 6mm TCU, 25 TCU, 30 and 357 Herrett would most likely use a different one. I've never seen these on 10" barrels, only the 14" and only in specific calibers. I pass these sights by all the time, I would much rather have a Williams peep than this Silhouette sight. Good Luck.

I agree with Contendernut.  I always see "rare" on a lot of the actions.  Ed has some great prices.

I wonder how much I can get if I were to sell the 2 sets of "rare" SSK swivel studs I have?     I saw some of these sell for over $40 once!  Not a bad profit considering what SSK used to charge for them.
