I have a new to me FA 83 .454. The gun was made in 1989 and is a non marked Premier grade. Is there any way to remove or minimize scratches in the finish?

Try a maroon ScotchBrite pad. Go with the grain of the finish and take it easy, especially when the new piece of pad is new or "sharp". Once the pad dulls down a little more pressure can be applied. Stay off the lettering best you can.

Yup, maroon scotch brite. I have read that's what F/A uses. I have used it on my model 97 and it blends in perfectly.
