Picked up my 94 AE, in 30-30, yesterday and went to the range today. Went through about a 1/2 a box of Winchester factory 150 grain SPs to get the sights fairly close. I also put together 16 handloads last night with some once fired FC brass a friend gave me. 180 grain LRNFPGCs over 24 grains of TAC with a CCI LR. Very happy with first results. I don't want a scope on this one but would like suggestions on a better rear sight. I want a barrel mounted sight, not a receiver mount, something that doesn't detract from the looks of the gun. BTW, although this gun is pushing 30 yo this was the first time it was shot.
