M70 Featherweight
« on: October 17, 2011, 08:52:43 AM »
Were any M70 Featherweights made in the 1980s that had the featherweight Schnabel type stock but had no checkering at all?  I acquired one like this in 243, the barrel is lightweight profile and the stock is very dark brown Schnabel forend Winchester style but completely smooth.

I've yet to see or hear of an uncheckered post-64 Featherweight.

Although it's possible it could have been a checkering-delete Special Order, most likely the checkering was removed aftersell, & the stock reinished.
