The wind was horrible, as you are by now obviously aware, even for us bird hunters.
The birds were just not moving.
At the end of the day I did something I swore I'd never do; hit a stocked area.
I mostly did it because I knew with this weather, there wouldn't be the normal pressure. I hate crowds.
But the birds were surprisingly wary; a good thing for folks who hate the fact that we are often stuck with pen-raised game.
I killed one Hen and we baked it in a mushroom sauce for dinner.
A great day in spite of the weather.
Hopefully this Saturday is going to be sunny and cold.
