SAMCC Carriage
« on: October 21, 2011, 09:19:39 AM »
I am offering this carriage as a parts kit to fit the "very nice" Brooks USA SAMCC .50 caliber barrel.
All red oak wood parts are rough cut out.  The carriage is tapered front to back.  No holes are drilled other than the wheels.
Cost for this parts kit will be $175 shipping included to the lower 48 states.
No hardware or metal parts are included.  I will drill the 1/2" trunnion pockets if you want for the same price.
Barrel is not included in my price but is available from another of our sponsors, Brooks USA.

This is the same carriage pattern in finished condition.  The above kit can look like this with enough work.  This particular carriage was done in walnut.  I will offer the finished carriage for $450.
I am willing to do anything in between so just PM me with your needs or questions.

Zulu,

what is the spacing between cheeks?    The carriage could be used for other cannons besides the SAMCC gun.

Douglas,
The distance between cheeks is 2 1/16" where the trunnions should sit.  This particular barrel has 1/2" trunnions and is 11" long.
