.22 hornet reduced loads

Is there any one that has used a reduced load in the hornet with jacketed bullets? I bought some .224 34gr. varmint nightmare bullets from midsouth shooters supply and they aren't vary consistant in my rifle. 4" groups at 100 yd. I would like to come down to .22 mag.vel. 2000 fps or less. As I have a large amt. of them,I thought I would use them on squirrls.    thanx!

Maybe your gun is too new and needs to be broken in.  I get sub minute of accuracy with the same bullet over 13 grains of Lil Gun but I use small pistol primer.  Small case, small powder load needs a smaller primer.  I learned this with my muzzle loader and 209 primers.  There is a thread on this topic somewhere.  With Lil Gun the pressure is much lower.  H110 was erratic in my gun also.

My 22 mag clone load in the hornet is 3.5 gr Bullseye under a 40 gr jacketed hornady. Works really well.
