All Handi's drilled/tapped the same?

I'm calling around the local shops to pick-up some mounts/rings for a 30/30 HandiRifle with an SB2 frame.  One shops says they have a base for the Handi Rifle Topper........will this base work on my SB2 NH###### frame?

As far as I know they are all the same mounting holes some have more slots than others for the mounts

Yes, BUT the early barrels where a different diameter and require a different base...

I'm not so sure.  I had a .30-30 H&R which I bought in 1982 and I had to have one hole drilled & tapped to mount a Marble's peep sight, but I don't remember why....

I have an extra factory base that's new, I needed a hammer extension and the only way to get one locally was to buy the package with both. Pm me if interested.
