Opening day.....
« on: October 23, 2011, 05:07:48 AM »
Me and a buddy took the 444 H&Rs out for opening day of deer, he shot this 9 point from about 70 yards with the 265 Leverevelotion loads and dropped him in his tracks! Inside spread was 18 1/8!

Nice buck!  Great hunt.  Questions:  I don't see any bullet hole on that right side.  Did the Leverevolution pass through?  What was the shot angle?

Nice buck , Can't wait for opening day in Michigan. 35 Whelen or 45-70 BC. will be my choice of rifles. Going to take them both if I get my BC back from H&R in time.

Hey Janitor.........
How many hogs did you pass on to get one that matched you rifle? ;D If it wasn't for the metal you could not see it laying on the hog LOL

Funny when my wife asks "do these go together?" I fail miserably but the pic turned out ok...
Guess she will need to start quilting only with H&R stock and pig colors for me to help.  ::)

He hit him in the left shoulder and the bullet didn't exit, it was the Hornady 265 grn. Leverevelotion load, spent all its engery inside the deer!
