No rights to free speech are being infringed upon? Are you serious? It looks as though her career is in jeopardy because of something she said on her own time. Can you explain to be how that is not an infringement of free speech?
I'll take a stab at it.
First,
'rights of free speech' are all the time infringed on; it's legal. If an NYPD officer says, "The NYPD is a thuggish organization that screws over citizens on a daily basis to get arrest numbers up" and says so publicly, he'll get canned. Heck, if I say something really nasty here (or even if I say something really true but impolitic) I may get banned.

.. I just said she was a dingbat, and earns that with the 'homosexuality is a cancer' bit. She can always smarten up; no need to fire her. But then, I don't know all that much about it. WITH THAT IN MIND... I'm done writing back and forth.
Got it? To review: she's a dingbat, but doesn't need to be fired (something I view as a pretty extreme measure).
