SUICIDE OF AMERICA:

Frosty Wooldrige of News With Views talks about CULT DIVERSITY in America. and what it's doing to the country. He and others like Pat Buchanan say America as we know it (Knew it) cannot survive another 20 years. Interesting read, with video of Buchanan on Shawn Hannity.

We are defining what freedom we will have. We are deciding what freedoms we are willing to lose to be safe. We are being over loaded with crime in an effort to guide our thinking. Free men and women will die before giving up freedom as it is worth more than security to them. The reason given to give up freedom is its easier to offer security if some (most) freedoms are limited or taken away.
I offer the right to carry a weapon as a freedom that has driven the crime wave down. So I offer each of us should take personal / home /local and national security as a personal effort. We should demand more rights that put us back in control. If all Americans carried guns while flying 911 would have been very different. And today TSA agents would not be needed as Americans would be free to protect them selves. Suicide maybe or maybe a new awaking of freedom.
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

I have read some reports by economists that the so called rich 1% is another one of those bubbles.  It will break like the others.  Their money does them no good if they don't spend it.  If and when inflation takes hold, and it will eventually, their money won't be worth much.  Also, there are things that can be done right now the fix these problems.  Like the above mentioned items, but allowing drilling in America to lower oil prices, thus gasoline prices, and plastics prices.  Don't use ethynol for fuel, use the corn for animal feed to keep food prices down.  Go back to banking rules prior to 1998.  Eliminate corporate income tax on MANUFACTURERS, thus bringing back manufacturing of goods to the USA, and thereby bringing back the blue collar middle class.  Institute tarriffs on imported goods that are subsidised by their governments to run American companies out of business.

.
Little bit maybe...Frosty is xenophobic,,,,but he didn't point a finger at the real parasites on Wall St that extracted trillion$ from the Wealth of our Nation...

..TM7
.
Big difference between the people that work and run wall street and ILLEGAS that come here to take our wealth and ship it home. Mexican come here, at least the bulk of ones I have met, to make money and go back home.  They see us as a rich nation that can afford to give them a job, money, food, housing, and expect us to conform to them.  They do not care about our laws, our culture or us.  They care about taking what they can and leaving.
The difference between the greed of the Illegals and the Wall Street is that the wall street people invest thier earnings into the economy, spend money on houses, cars, equipment, toys, clubs, new companies, and what have you that the rich and middle class spend money on.  All creating jobs for others.  That car will need a mechanic, fuel statuions, tires, and a government worker at the DMV to issue a license and registration and insurance companies to insure the house, car, and toys.  Restaraunts, health clubs, stores and boutiques, and a whole host of other local services that can go on and on about how the rich pour money back intio the economy.  The money they make is actually made and will create other jobs as people see a need that they can fill in the rich and middle class people's lives in services, items, or manufacturing.
I worked at a Yacht club as a kid.  I started out as a yard ape and moved up to really good money repairing boats.  If the rich and middle class did not have boats in the marina, I would not have been needed, if they did not break the boats I would not have learned a lot and made money I used for College.
In the TV show Swamp people, one eposode they had a designer go hunting for gators with one of the show regulars.  He said that the Aligator coats he designs and sells are up to $45,000.  Granted no one needs a coat that costs as much as an SUV, but the fact that they want one creates a job for the aligator hunter, that created a job for the tv crew sio they can feed their families and in turn buy items they want or need putting money back into the economy.  The making it and spending it is what fuels the economy.  If you can't make it, you don't spend it.  The illegals live as cheap as possible and only take from the economy.  To use the Obama - Biden mantra How many teachers, Police, and fire fighters can we hire, if we were not using tax money to give welfare to people ILLEGALLY here?
Trickel down economics works.  Leave people more of their money and they will spend, invest it, or save it.  All get poured back into the economy.

The moratorium on immigration should have been in place by the end of september 2001.
Likewise our borders should have been secured and all illegals deported.

NW Bear,
Great post by Dixie Dude up to the part of Tarrifs.
They only raise prices and have through out history.
If a government is subsidising an industry, just do not allow that product in.  Do not artifically inflate the price, it only inflates the domestic price.
Would you pay a $1 more for a domestic product made by your neighbor?  Well the tarrif made the other goods $20 and you would normally sell for $19 are now $21.  And of course we need ot raise the Tarrif as the Domestic is no longer cheaper.

I'm not really well versed in tariff cause and effect, and not really sure that is the ultimate solution but agreed with the intent.  I always try to spend my money on made in USA product (if I can find it) as well as the smaller shops.  I still shop at Wal-Mart but I try to reserve some money for the "Small Business"  especially Gun and Fishing shops, otherwise they just won't survive.

I did a few years at College as a Political Science Major with an Economics Minor till I realized if I took three more classes in Econ I could be a double major.    I too spend money on anything but Chinese goods as I do not believe in slavery.  Every communiust system is a slave system.
Tariff sound good to me until it was expalined that they only drive prices up.  Not allowing a good into the market, in the short term will drive up a price.  Seeing profits others will build either a similar good, or a better one and bring it to market driving prices back down.  Assuming there are only two suppliers originally.  Many small factors also take effect.
If you look at the electronics like the I Pad and Phone, they use what is called Rare Earth elements that China is mining and will not export,  The US has these minerals needed for the electronics, but we have silly rules in effect that have closed the mines and are not allowing them to reopen, forcing manufacturing in China.

I agree the tariffs will increase prices but I would pay more (some) if we could bring those jobs and manufacturing back here.  Having spent most of my career (30 years) in the Electronics business I can tell you it is just CHEAPER to manufacture in China, first Taiwan now mainland China.  Labor costs alone are just so much cheaper.  I doubt that rare earths are really the problem, the Chinese will sell anything to anyone, for a price.  Electronics and other manufacturing easy, hands down cheaper in China.  Once they start fabbing semiconductor wafers, the silicon chips inside the the plastic package, over in China we will have exported all of our capabilities to Asia.  I now work in the medical field because my industry has basically left the US.  I am glad I am nearing retirement, but I fear for my kids and others who still have a long way to go in their careers.
Good Luck to everyone, I hope we do better in the future.

And this is part of the Suside of America.  The "Green Adgenda" is to kill America.  To kill the American dream.  I do not understand the Union membership backing the left.  The left are the ones that are against manufacturing, Mining, logging, refineing, and consuming.  ALL union jobs.  Not only are they against these things but they write rules and regulations, tax laws to cripple these industries.  I know some hard core Union guy is going to read this and unload on me, But it is a valid question.  If we can not build new buildings, to refine fuels, to house people , to make plants to make (fill in the blank) how are we going to employ carpenters, electricians, plumbers, riggers, equipment operators, welders, Not to mention the making of all the stuff that goes into the building.  But the Enviromental impact statements, the building fees,  better known as the city and state bribes  We have listened to them ( the liberals) for the past 60+ years and things have only gotten worse and all they can say is we need spend more $ on it.  Clearly it has been wrong and tying to create more of it is only going to ruin our country faster.  We should ask a liberal what we should not do tyo get the economy on track and DO exactly that.  Clearly what they think has screwed us.
Clearly our down fall is that we have laws that are not enforced or are ignored and we have the people ignoring current laws writting new laws to fix the problem caused by the law or the ignoring of the law.
You also missed that last part about the tarrifs.
Local made product is $19.  We add tarrifs to make the forgien item more so $20.  The market will bare that you will pay $1 more for the Domestic product so the price artifically goes to $21.  Now $2 more than the normal price.  People complain that the import stuff is now cheaper and add $2 to the tarrifsmaking the import $22.  And again you will pay $1 more for Domestic, so the new Domestic Price is $23.  And the whole time it without the tarrif it would be $19.  At some point someone will see the extra $4 as Profit and get int ithe market with a domestic product and bring the prices down.

I work in the natural gas pipeline construction industry.  Enviromental permitting and regulations slows up construction, even halts construction to check out mussels in a small creek that we were going to BORE under.  It costs extra money to pay environmental engineers to check and area out before we go in (even down an existing highway or subdivision) to do the permitting work.  We didn't have this 12 years ago, and my company has been in business for over 150 years.  We do know a little bit about construction and environmental problems.  We also have to get city, county, and state highway department permits for construction on their roads and street.  The state highway departments are now enforcing environmental regulations causing them more paperwork and more paper work we have to submit to them.  If we go into a subdivision, we have to do an environmental permit, this takes 6-8 weeks.  Then if we go along a state highway, we have to get a highway permit, but have to attach the paperwork of our environmental permit, another 6-8 weeks.  In the meantime the developer can build houses in about 3 months, he wants the mains in the ground asap.  Waiting for permits, costs us time and money.  If the developer goes ahead and puts his curb and paves streets, we have to bore the mains in, which is more expensive than trenching.  Then if he puts sod on new yards, driveways, and sidewalks, more boring, more costs.  All because of EPA rule.

1st the developer has to get a permit, then we have to get a permit.  If utilites are underground, permits for cable, power, water, sewer, etc, etc.  More and more paperwork.  Sometimes a developer will let you work under his permit with more legal paperwork, but saves time not having to wait on EPA paperwork.  Sometimes he will not, because he is finished and has already sod his development.

I have been in this business for 36 years, and costs for installing mains have skyrocketed because of EPA rules.

Not saying they are or are not.  But based on the Sopranos if they are in crime, the only way to milk things out of a JOB is to Have a Job.  Again how does having a dieing trade help the union?  Other than having a few older guys they can use as thugs?

TM7,
We agree that America is being poisoned.  But I think we are looking at different people doing to poisoning.
I see the lifetime politician, the beurocrat, and the Green/ communist movement are the ones doing the poisoning.
We are not calling for immagration reform.  We are asking that we uphold the laws we have.  Again Illegal is illegal no matter what you call it.  with this lawless ness other lawlessnes comes.  Drugs, gangs, identity theft, tax cheats, fraud, anti assimilation, and we can go on and on with the problems that illegal immagrants bring.
You see these illegals as a bonus, that coperations, the rich, and the capitalist system are what are poisoning the country rather than what has made it great and the killing of them is what is ruining our economy, our culture, and our way of life.

McDuck, I haven't scrutinized TM7's posts, but I thought he pretty much represented in his posts what you thought the problem was. I am probably wrong, I often am. Guess I need to pay better attention. ear

NO the sole goal of a company is Profit.  Sorry an economic law.
If you have a company that makes or sell this or that and has an equal goal to making profit of something else then you are going to have a failed business.  The same people that run these companies are the ones that live in the same places and they do not want to live in dirty air, have toxic water, or contaminated soil.
Reguardless of what you think no one wants dirty air, dirty water, and spoiled soil.  There are limits.  In order to make something, to clean something to build something you are going to disrupt things.  The river in Ohio that caught on fire is an example of going to far. That's right a river caught on fire, twice I think.
Love Canal is too far.  where a housing unit was built over a toxic dump.
Think of everything you use around your house.  Soap, Shampoo, laundry detergents, all effect water quality.
The not in my back yard crowd, the no building, no manufacuring, and the misguided are the ones that want us to eat nuts and berries grown in a vacant lot or if you are going to do it make sure I can not see or smell it.  The same group are the first ones to claim imment domain if they want a new school or museum.
The over exaduration of the polution and political gotcha's are causing more problems.  When Clinton left he lowered the levels of arsnick allowed in drinking water to 10% of what was already a safe level.  In doing so he made things like Apple juice unhealthy compared to water.  Just by the trace elements in the apple.  Much like the inside of a peach pit has arsnick in it.
He did it as a political move, he hoped Bush was going to void his mandate and keep the levels at the safe level.  Thus the left can scream that Bush wants to kill people with dirty water by raising the  toxic levels 900%.
The lead free laws in CA were done by a hag that was voted out and her clean water act is costing new construction, and replacement business 40% more, and the levels before were safe.  Now instead of Bronze you have cast Iron.  Cast Iron at 130 degrees with stagnent water breeds Legionella.  Granted it needs to be stagnet for a log time.
Every time you go shooting are you poluting.  Lead, chemicals, mercury, cleaning fluids, rags, patches, plastics, paper, fuel to get there, targets.....
In order to have perfect water and air we would have to do nothing.  No work, not agraculture, no waiste at all.
The EPA in regulating things drives up the costs, driving up those costs is what is causing people to cheat nad cut corners to stay in business and do stupid things to compete with places like China and other communist states where there are no enviromental concerns.
Technology and the consummer are waht is going to make cleaner air, water, and soil.  A company that uses clean as a marketing effect to gain profits will force others to do so and finally all will be doing it cleaner, if that is what the  public is willing to pay for and sees clean as a value.
