I know Bill would like a Moderator in here.  IF the Members think a Moderator is needed, I will follow their wishes.

Dunno about the membership but as site owner I'm of the opinion every forum on the site needs a moderator. Mod duties include making posts and encouraging participation as well as dealing with problems. Lots of forums have no real problems perse but a lot of those are the ones that could benefit most from a moderator who helps keep things rolling.

GB, I would think twice about having a Penn state fan as moderator. ;D
I don't think PA has gardens, too cold.

I have a friend who lives in PA and he raises a garden every year. This time he got a lot more tomatos from his than I did in mine so I know they actually can garden up there.  :o

My grandkids said to me in the spring ...   "Pappy, can you grow some Cucumbers, we like cucumbers"

Well...     The few cucumbers that I planted swarmed all over the garden, choked out the Onions, and produced enough cucumbers to have cucumber salad alll summer and quite a few quarts of Bread & Butter Pickles now.

Not only that, but the Tomatoes did wonderful.   So did the Peppers and Rhubarb.  (THe Horseradish is going well also)

So there, you Crimson Tide or Buckeye fan.  JoePa moves for a National Championship next year.

Anybody cae to bite into  a Ghost Pepper?

I don't know Bill....

Apathy is running deep in this forum.  To me it looks like there are alot more regulars who use it than care.

Of all the regulars, only 4 members decided to vote.

When the Poll closes on the 5th of November, that's it for me.

Only 4 members can't decide.

I've never been in this particular forum prior to the Poll so I should not comment on it. There appear to be others that have no moderator or are only occasionally checked that need to be reigned in. IMO of course ;)

scatterbrain,

As fas as I know, anyone can volunteer to be a Moderator.  All you need is an interest in the subject and a little knowledge, so you dont end up sounding like a jerk.  But it is best to talk to the Administration if you'd like to consider being a moderator.

Graybeard comes here quite often.  I am almost positive that he will show interest in what you have to say about other forums.  He is the complaint department around here.  He is also availalbe in the 'Private Message' feature on this website.

In the meantime, you are more than welcome to vote in the current poll (pro or con).  I really don't care how long you have been coming here.

I try to visit every couple of days at least.  Have enjoyed the site and often wondered why there are so few gardeners.... To me it ranks right up there with shooting and hunting.  Guess I fit into the "hunter/gatherer" catagory. A creative moderator might really help.

I think that all the forums should have a MOD... 8)

Truth be told, the wife is the one that does any gardening that may happen. I planted a few fruit trees and ornamental shrubs, try not to have a heart attack while I push a lawnmower around and otherwise hide from black flies and sundry other blood suckers that appear here no later then the end of April and hang around 'til fall.

I don't know, some of the other forums that have Mod's seem either to have the discussion fall off after the mod posts on a discussion, or the current mods are just not that interested anymore.  I'm not voting here, but will accept the popular vote
