Fruit Eater?
« on: October 29, 2011, 03:19:11 PM »
I love fruits, I can make a meal with them. Any kind.  This time of year I hit apples hard. Peaches have run their coarse. Bananas year round.
Fruit is King.

lol I can't say I'd make an entire meal of fruit, but apples and persimmons sure do season a pork loin well.  Got me a few blueberry bushes planted this fall, I'll post results later.  They were given to me by a gal who had gone through a divorce and was selling their house.  (helped her move, she offered the plants as payment if I wanted to dig em up) I'm also planning a small orchard might be a couple years on that, funding and all

i remember years ago where i read about a diet that consisted of eatin no meat and only fruits and veggies except for supper.very good results and i follow it but not 100%.a lot of people eat greasy fast food meat for lunch, not good. id rather at the worst have a can of peaches or a oat bar for lunch. and always oatmeal for bfast.but i still have high blood pressure so maybe it dont work lol.

hmmm, I'm mid 40's BP runs 110/65 give or take a couple, cholesteral total runs 98 to 112 total.  I eat fried eggs, bacon, sausage, pork and beef as I see fit.  I am convinced it's got more to do with genetics than diet.

I too have low blood pressure and low cholesterol, but have had 2 heart attacks.  if you have heart disease, it's gonna get you at some point no matter what you do.

yup BUGEYE,
if someone is going to have a health issue, they are just going to have a health issue.  Proper nutrition, along with excercise will help, and may prevent someone from being worse than they would have been with a poor diet.  But back to the subject of the post;

Fruits can be enjoyed more than one way.  You can cook them and season them to taste.  You can enjoy them fresh, canned, or frozen or even dried.  You can use them as a seasoning for other foods.

medicine has come a long way. if a heart attack doesn't kill you immediately, you have a chance to live a long life.
the veggies and fruit certainly help the meds do their work.
I could eat watermelon every day.
