Metal Parts for Newer H&R's
« on: November 06, 2011, 02:34:39 PM »
Hi All,
Would finding or fabricating a metal trigger guard and forearm fitting for the newer H&R Pardner's be of value? Or is the plastic just at good for practical matters.

Had a 12 gauge H&R I bought in the early 90's at K-mart, for the life of me, I can't recall if it had metal or plastic. Have a brand new 20 gauge... the traditionalist in me keeps saying, "First chance you get, make those parts metal.", LOL!

I have a '91 Pardner, has plastic parts just like all 1987 and later H&R/NEFs with the exception of the Wesson & Harrington 38-55s, plastic parts are perfectly functional.
