« on: November 07, 2011, 02:35:51 AM »
How can you determine id a drilling is a 8x57JR or 8x57JRS?
Is there a proof mark difference?  I dont want to do a chamber cast.

thanks
Doug

Regards,

Yup, slug the bore...  Many JR's (.318") have large enough bores to use JRS (.323") bullets in them...  My old Krieghoff is one of them...

EVERY old drilling should be "slugged" to see what the bore REALLY is!
