A rare one on GB
« on: November 07, 2011, 09:07:11 AM »
I just saw this little gem on gunbroker.  (I'm in no way associated with this gun, this seller, or gunbroker.  I just saw this gun and knew the guys and gals on Graybeard's would love to see it too)

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=259725165

It's an old Harrington&Richardson Handy Gun (pistol) in 218 Bee.  It was built as a 410 but after the barrel length restriction on shotguns came in during the early '30s this was lined and turned into the .218 pistol.  Neat little item since most of the under length .410 shot pistols were just junked when they became illegal.  Most people figured why bother, so few of those old guns survived.

  Anyway, it's neat.

Your right, she's a beaut, with a price tag to match.

Too bad I've got champagne tastes with a beer budget.  ;) ;D

It wouldn't fit the modern Handi's, look at the extra metal (tang) on the receiver.  You could probably make something similar, yourself for your Handi, if you have the wood working skills.

I think if you wanted something like that you'd be better off just getting a Contender.  Pick your caliber 'cause there are a number of options for those  ;) .  Or, now that I think of it, didn't Rossi come out with Wizard pistols?
