.17 trigger springs?
« on: January 12, 2004, 01:00:46 PM »
Howdy all. Can anyone tell me where I could buy some lighter trigger springs for my Marlin .17 rimfire. I can't afford to replace the entire trigger with an adjustable trigger, but thought I might be able to go with light springs to improve the trigger pull. Thanks for any help you can give, Worm.

Check the Brownells catalog.  They have spring sets, which consist of a variety of spring stocks which could be used to fabricate the one you seek.  While not cheap it will provide spring stock for many projects.

Gunnut69, thanks for the info, I will check their on-line catolog. Should have thought of that myself. Thanks again, Worm.

WORMBOBSKY,
I used a spring from a Papermate FlexgripUltra ball point pen per another site's info. It worked fine on my Marlin 25N. All I did was use this as a replacement trigger spring.

Go to the Marlin Webpage and read some of the rimfire threads. Have photos and everything you need to know about the papermate spring.

Thanks for the information. I looked at Brownells, but all I found was replacement springs for the .17. I will go to Marlins site from here and see whats up about that papermate spring. Again, thanks for the information, Worm.
