4 1/2 Year Old's First Shot with 410 Contender Shotgun

I took my 4 1/2 year old son out deer hunting with me this morning after trying to walk along quietly while he kicked every rock/stick/leaf that he could find I gave up and headed back to the truck to shoot his pumpkin with his 21" barreled 410 Contender shotgun.
 
It was his first time shooting it with his shortened butt stock he normally shoots the gun with his 16.5" 22LR barrel installed.
 
The first shot almost knocked him onto his butt he said it didn't hurt his shoulder so after I took the picture and me now giving him some support he shot the pumpkin 2 more times.

Here is a picture from earlier this summer after about 10 minutes of me working with him shooting he that is just like his mother told me I was teaching him all wrong and he is going to show me the proper way to shoot his 22LR and this is what he did...
 
Mom took the pic...  :)
 
He wouldn't head out into the hills with us until we promised to do a Cowboy Day = we all had to have cowboy boots/hats on for the day.
 
He had to take his off so he could put his muffs on and he was wearing sun glasses but I missed that he had taken them off without telling us.
 
Fixed that right after this picture and you will note the 2 finger trigger pull he has to do that the trigger is just to heavy for him with only one finger...   :o

Not for squirrel... no open season for them here they are considered fur bearing animals...
