Trigger on 77/22

   Hi, all... I recently purchased a used but very nice Ruger 77/22 in 22 Hornet. The trigger pull is absolutely terrible on this gun. My question is: Are there after-market triggers available for this rifle, and/or can the trigger be adjusted as is? I do have some experience with trigger adjustments and replacements on Remington rifles, but I haven't pulled this one apart yet. Wondering which direction to look... I really like this little guy, but the sgqueeze has got to get better!!

You can work the trigger and change the spring itself, I have a 77/22 with a crisp 2# trigger job on it.

Rick59.... Thanks for the info, and I'll give that outfit in the link you sent a call. Meanwhile, I'm going to pull the gun apart and remove the trigger, as I'm probably going to do a bedding job on it anyway. Thanks again...

As I posted in another thread, I had a pro gunsmith work on My 77/22 hornet trigger, (back in 2004), and He made the trigger near perfect for only $25.
It scales a 2 lb WOP and it's absolutely crisp!

+2 Randy really knows his Rugers! ;)  I also agree that once you see his services for the Hornet, a trigger job will not be the only thing you consider him doing.
