M94 with side scope mount
« on: November 09, 2011, 04:24:03 PM »
i have a model 94 30/30 made in 1963 i am now using a williams peep and was thinking on tring a 2.5 leupold on a side mount and was wondering how they perform. anyone have an opinion on this and what type of side mount would be best. i have been looking at the kwik mount that has the rings in the mount. any suggestions.

Drilling and tapping the M94 will decrease it's value substancially. I would reccomend against it if at all possible. If already done then have at it. I prefer the Weaver style side mount as the seperate base gives it a bit of adjustment..

not thinking on drilling ,as i stated above i am thinking side mount  there are two peep sight holes in the receiver and one forward of that and was thinking of the kwik-site side mount. gunnut are there special rings for that mount or does it come with rings?
