Mod 70 C.A.I.???

I need help identifying a rifle that i picked up recently. I am almost positive that it is a Mauser action chambered in 300 Win Mag.. it has roughly a 24"to 26" barrel with hooded front sight and european style rear site, been converted to ,modern style safety. I bought it as refinish project...somebody had sanded down part of the stock near the buttplate...the bluing is awesome and it is freefloated. It shoots great. I thought it was a custom rifle until tonite when I was cleaning it and turned it over and found "mod 70 c.a.i. georgia, vt" stamped on the underside of barrel. I have searched the web and cant find anything  on this rifle. Any idea what I have??? Thanks for the help. Robbie

 CAI stands for Century Arms Incorporated (or International, I forget which).  This is just the name of the company that imported (not built) the firearm.
 
   Why it is called a Model 70, I have no idea.  Perhaps someone copied the Winchester Model 70 action in Russian or other European factories, and sent them over  here.  I would imagine that the patent on the original Winchester Model 70 action has long expired and is free to copy.

Thanks guys... I called Century today and talked to a fella that said that they did this rifle about 15 yrs ago... said that they took large ring mausers and had them customized.. he couldnt remember who did it. He said that not many of them were done... said that they made great rifles...I thought this one was a custom job till I found the writing on the bottom of the barrel.
