new to forum
« on: November 11, 2011, 09:53:38 AM »
Been reading on this forum for a few months now and thought I would introduce myself but didnt find an introduction section. I am John from Arkansas and have been a long time fan of handi rifles. I didnt realize there were other fanatics like me till I found this site with tons of info on handi rifles
Ive attached a photo of three of my rifles packed up for this weekends opening of modern gun. Up top is my stainless .223 heavy barrel that was my first rifle, bought it when I was 15 out of change that I had been saving for 3 years and is my favorite gun. Taking this for my wife's sister to use. Then there is a blued synthetic stock .243 that belongs to my wife hoping to get her first deer. Then the one in the middle is my .22 hornet.
I also have a .410 that was my first gun and a .22 sportster. By then end of next week I plan on owning a .243 heavy barrel and possibly a 7mm-08

Hi John- Welcome! This is the place to be if you are so inclined to love these sweet guns like most all of us do. If you are a reloader the 7-08 is a nice affordable round, I bought factory once, but once I had the dies, it is much easier on the wallet. Good luck on your hunt.

This is what got me interested in the 7-08. Ive heard it is very reloader friendly.
By the way, wife got her first deer with her .243 this morning
