Thanks. I had my deer on the ground at 7AM. Just 3 minutes after opening season. It was a nice 7-pointer that guess-weighed between 175 to 250# on hoof. Got him at 30yds coming out of the big timber to graze on some meadow grasses. Didn't know what hit him as I was in full camo with face cover. Trusty 30-06 with 150gr soft point went through both lungs and split top portion of heart and made a nasty hole out other side of deer. Deer turned to go back into timber, but only went 25 feet.

So far I have seen only a few cows, two squirrels and a lot of leaves blowing back and forth.  Heard a lot of shooting on opening day until about ten and not a lot after that.  Sure wish the wind would quit blowing.

So far I've only seen the tail end of one deer. It's been so dang windy I think it has them spooked and laying up. The wind finaly let up today just in time for it to rain.
