Sometimes a show of force is nessacary to get the message accross to certain folks.

Since you said "reportedly" about the NYPD, let's discuss the NYPD, I'm not your paid researcher.  However, if your willing to be billed for my time, I will be glad to do the work.  Starting rate for you is $60 per hour.    And that is with the GBO discount. BTW, I don't have the actual percentage, but the Line of Duty pensions are more in the realm of 15 - 20%.  If you want the actual percentage, why don't you file a FOIL request with NYPD?

Line of Duty, disability pensions are worth 3/4 of their "final average salary (FAS)", Not Line of Duty, disability pensions are worth 50% of their FAS,  the pension amount is dependent on the FAS.

As far as your claim about cops with disabilities on mental grounds getting a pistol permit.  You could check with the NYC pistol permit bureau for this information, to verify if you claim is true.

BTW as an early Christmas present, I'm giving you this little tidbit for free.  "... nearly 75 percent of firefighters retire with disability - which entitles them to three-quarters salary for life."(This number is backed up by research, and is a matter of public record).

I'm with OldSchool on this; Schumer is a jerk, at least on 2nd Amendment issuse (the only ones I really care about that I know his position on).
