SS wedge for my 50 cal TC Grey hawk.
« on: November 14, 2011, 03:15:44 PM »
After a successful opening weekend of deer season I did my back porch cleaning ritual on my grey hawk. got it all apart and was scrubbing the bbl when my 4yr old son decided to run off with my SS wedge pin and lose it in the 3 acre back yard. I replaced it with a TC brass wedge from the local gun shop but the brass one doesn't look right on a all SS rifle.

So does anybody here know where I could find a SS wedge?  My wife already said  "have you looked in the back yard? ??? ??"   :o  she is so funny!

OBTW:
Successful = 73# of smoked deer sausage in the freezer. 45yd perfect heart shot courtesy of a nice load of pyrodex P and a TC maxi ball lubed with bore butter (ran out of the maxi hunters)  I soooo like this rifle.. this is the 3rd year in a row I have scored with it opening weekend.

If you have one of those magnetic nail picker uppers (they look sort of like a golf club), just walk around your yard, around where your son was.  Since it was steel, the magnet should pick it up, if you come within a reasonable distance of it.

Otherwise, do what srussel said, TC has replacements.  Best of luck to you.

Congrats on the deer.

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.
