NEF 223 ATI Stock
« on: November 15, 2011, 10:17:19 AM »
Just a pic of my NEF Handi 223 with ATI 4100 stock. Have not seen many of these , but I sure like what it has done for both accuracy and egronomics. I do own more stock NEF's and like them also, this one is just so much fun to shoot and sure get's some good looks and comments at the range.

I never liked the ATI forend (not to mention the stud hole in mine is slightly crooked / off center...), but I bought the set for the stock only. I really like it. My 5'3" GF also shoots it occasionally and she likes the adjustability. Though I tend to shoot with about a 12" LOP, despite my 6'2" wingspan (just used to short LOPs with long guns). One of the main reasons I bought it, though, was for the compactness. Though I go back and forth about this stock vs my shortened Survivor stock (second pic). It is about 30" or so with the Survivor stock (shortened to I think a 12 or 12.5" LOP with the butt pad), and 28.5" with the collapsed ATI stock. The only real thing I don't like about the Survivor stock, though, is it is harder to grab a hold of when unslinging.

JMcDONALD , That gun looks sweet with your stock set-up, where did you get that fore-end or is that stock (cant tell) anyway I put another sling swivel farther back on the ATI stock and sometimes mount my bi-pod closer to the receiver. Thanks

Thanks! The forend is the original Survivor set (mine was / is originally a Survivor model). The bipod is mounted as far rearward as possible to still allow access to the forend thumb screw. I always put the rear swivel under the grip because it helps hold the gun higher up when slung over my shoulder, and it keeps the pistol grip from digging in to my back.

Looks like a bolt-on flash suppressor to me, not a brake.

it would be on the standard .308 not the bull barrel. Thanks. And also is this just a bolt on, or a threaded one?

Flash Hiders for NEF
« Reply #16 on: December 21, 2011, 10:16:44 AM »
I had no idea that making something for someone on this site would cause such a stir.
I was not and had no intentoin of making any profit for any flash hiders that I was going to make for anyone that wanted one for their gun.
I would have made you one if you wanted to trade me something  you had laying around and didn't want or need.
I will no longer be visiting this site in the future .
I apologize to anyone that would have wanted one .. Thank you
