Note the rope around the women, herding them like camels; note the man to the right holding the leash, walking them.

I am told this is a common "precautionary measure" to keep women from mixing with men during protests.
Considering that certain Islamic texts describe females as "she-camels in heat," or that it is traditional for some men to divorce their wives by saying "you are given free rein and unloosed like that camel," or that Muslims are thought to have a mind-frame rooted in sand, camels, and ropes—this measure must surely seem natural.
At any rate, to those who think that history must always progress, take note: fifty years ago, the overwhelming majority of women in Egypt wore modern clothes, hair uncovered, and would never have condescended to being walked on a leash.
Such is "progress"—"Arab Spring" style.

     HEH, partly right. If I remember correctly geese are a flock in the air and a gaggle on the ground. Don't believe gaggles of  geese fly South for the winter. I believe waggle would be most appropriate. POWDERMAN.

Why would Egypt want pepper spray? They will just stone them or saw their heads of with a butter knife. No need for non lethal/less lethal options there.

Sad thing is that they want to do the same thing here in the US the same way as they do in England. They got their own courts and laws. Obama, congress and the Justice dept sleep through it. Completely ignor it. Bin Laden is still winning.
The protesters need to go to Washington DC. That's the root of all our problems.
High inflation, human degredation, kinda reminds me of preHitler era. Sorry for the rant.

Well I didn't see a rope around anybody's neck, but here in America protestors get corraled in orange police plastic fencing, and then alot worse can happened..  I wonder if pepper spray has made its way to Egypt, yet?

I don't know about "geese in a gaggle" but I do have to have personal contact with some Christians, formerly og Egypt. They tattooed a 2 year old child and marked them for murder. What a sick bunch,."Flaming deleted"

BILLY. I do remember that domestic geese my Grandma raised were referred to as a gaggle, however, gaggles don't fly South for the winter, flocks do. POWDERMAN.
