Help me with Rings
« on: November 17, 2011, 07:55:39 PM »
Okay guys, let me pick your brains. I have a CZ 452 Lux, with Tech Sights peep sights. Im trying to mount a Simmons 4x32mm shotgun scope on the rifle, while still keeping the peeps. The scope is only 9.5" long, so clearing the factory rear sight not would be a problem as it can be mounted a hair behind it. I want rings that will allow me to set the scope low enough that I can get a good cheek weld, while high enough to clear the rear peep sight and still let me use them. Does anyone have any ideas which rings will work? I fear this is a trial and error type of deal. Or if anyone has any ideas for a compact scope/peep sight combination I would be grateful. Thanks for your input!

I would start with figuring out how high the scope can go, and you still have a cheek weld you like. Every time I put see thru rings on, I can no longer lay my cheek on the stock. More like between my cheek and chin. Not good for same instant site pic everytime. If you dig around there are some bases that have the center cut short, so you can see the site. Then maybe find short see thrus.
