New truck gun (44 mag Carbine)

Well..I finally found me a Ruger 44 mag Carbine! I have a few buddies with them and they are in love with them. I saw one on a local classifieds last night and picked it up today. Going to pick up some ammo for it tonight and sight it in in the morning. Stopped by a gun store and picked up a cheap scope to put on it, a sling, etc. Hopefully it shoots decent!

Sorry mods, can you move this to the Ruger Rifles and Shotguns forum? I thought I was in it but apparently I was mistaken!

An awful lot of collector value for a truck gun?

Cheap scope may be a problem and too much magnification. The 44 mag carbine has quite a bit of recoil. A 1 to 4X small scope is better suited to the action.

Don't go cheap on a scope 'less it is a 22 Rimfire and even then I would prefer something better.
