NEF/H&R Stock and Forearm specs
« on: November 20, 2011, 01:03:54 PM »
Short of buying one of each, then measuring and weighing each, what is the best source of info on the whole spectrum of NEF/H&R stocks and forearms . I have seen differences of opinions enough to like to be able to fall back on some actual values. My wife and I have different needs and we have different guns but there is some cross-utilization. I like scopes, she doesn't . I require quite a lot of rise and some cast off for sighted weapons in general and especially for scope sighted ones and that too can vary according to the scope used . I'm left-handed, she's right handed. There are some other quirks but you can get the idea. I am interested in a comparison of the Survivor and new style adult synthetics forearm dimensions. Do they make new style youth synthetic sets?  I was surprised to just find out that the Survivor stock is 1" shorter than a standard one. All in all, it would be a great help to have a chart that listed all of the pertinant dimensional differences because there are a lot of different sized and shaped people that are trying to get the maximum results out of their sport.  Thanks to anyone and everyone that can contribute to this project.   Ken Lacey
