Savage Bench Rest Pistol (pics)

Savage Dual Port Action. Douglas premium select barrel, 18" X 1.250" dia., chamber in 6BR. Topped off with a Busshnell 4.5X30 6500 Elite set in Burris rings and base. Setting in a PDC Custom aluminum stock.  I got it all together and was ready to shoot, but then pulled the bolt and shipped it to Sharp Shooters Supply to have the bolt fish net fluted with a red inlay and a tactical bolt handle also powder coated red.

Now that interesting!
Are ya gonna hunt with it? I know guy who uses a rifle in 6BR for deer and he collects them on a regular basis.

How's it shoot?

I may take it on a doe hunt where I can haul it on the Four Wheeler and set up over a meadow for a long shot. But to pack it in the woods, no, its way to heavy for that! It's main purpose is a bench toy. I haven't shot it yet and have already pulled the bolt and sent it off for some custom cosmetics. My expectations are that it shoots VERY accurate. I dont know about the Accur Trigger, may be replacing that with a good custom target trigger.

William have you tried cutting around the shell just below the wadding?  Some say it comes out in one piece shot and all..............I haven't had the guts to try it.
