Question about TC Hawken Hunter 3-9x40 scopes
« on: November 22, 2011, 04:11:34 PM »
Guys, I have a Hawken Hunter 3-9x4- scope on a 50 cal BP bbl I bought, and don't understand why they call it a BP scope.  What in the world is the difference in a "BP scope" and a regular scope?  I was thinking about changing it over to another bbl, but didn't want the new bbl with the BP scope on it to explode, or crack open, or whatever. Seriously, what is the difference if anyone knows.  Thanks,  Wallacem in Ga

Wallacem,

The BP scopes just have the parallex set closed, about 75yds as oposed to 150yds for regular centerfire riflescopes.  ;)

Bryan, thanks for the info, figured it must be something, but did not think of that.  I will be using it on one of my short distance barrels. One last question, using that scope, do I have to stay with black powder?  Just kidding.  Wallace
