East Coast SAMCC shoot.
« on: November 26, 2011, 05:47:25 AM »
I will probably be in the Washington DC area next October getting ready to head off for a month in South Africa helping Malcolm Cobb do research on his book.

If I can locate a range is anyone interested in attending a SAMCC match if I put one on?

We could do it here, but I'll bet there would be an available range closer to DC.  Ft Shenendoa perhaps?  That would better serve a greater # of folks.

I won't have a lot of time.  I will be staying in the DC area prior to boarding the plane. It will have to be something I can set up in an hour an drive to and from in an hour.

Too far east for me.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.

That's something that I and probably Rampa Room Artilley could get to.....
Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!

Wish you were going to be there longer, too long a drive for me with a 1 hr shoot. Hope it goes well and be careful overseas, they may be looking for artillery experts to "borrow".

Yeah one hour shoot, all day fellowship, and you can stop by Back Creek Gunshop and stock up on powder...then there all the battle fields with cannons every where..
