thanks Tom, what i wanted to know is why some cats are colored like they are? most of these cats where taken in the same area. i would of thought they would be a lot a like. in areas that i trap coon i have good areas and bad as far as color goes. if you look at the first cat it has no spots on the back and is red which is not that uncommon but the hair is tipped in white more like a lynx.
the next pic is the difference between a winter cat and a summer one that i took with an adc permit. I'm guessing that there aren't too many people who have seen a summer cat like that.
the last pic is of the different cats that i took in one area and how differently they are marked the one on the bottom is marked like you had taken stencils and painted them on with black paint and get less the further you go up on the picture. how can they be so different?

Oso, the differences must be related to the race of cat in your area.  The cats in my country rarely show distinct spots on the back.  

The first thing I noticed was the wide variation in your cats.  I'll bet this feature combined with the lighter fur weight are the reason for the lower prices you experience.
