Turkey gun
« on: November 28, 2011, 03:40:41 AM »
Have found a new full choke turkey gun, camo for $165 brand new.  Anyone have one, and how do you like it?  Have read the pattern reports.  Wanted a gun strictly for turkey or an occasional varmint.  It is chambered for 3 1/2 shells also.   Thanks

I have one of the 12ga barrels with screw in chokes chambered for 3 1/2". I've found that with the HS strut undertaker turkey choke 3" federal #5 turkey loads pattern better than the 3 1/2"

I have the camo 20ga youth model with a fixed full choke, it's a very fine gun to say the least.

I got lucky and got one of the NWTF editions.    The best load in this one is Federals 2 1/4 oz load at 1100 fps.    It does get your attention even with a limbsaver and lead in the stock hole!     But it makes one dense cloud of shot when you touch it off.

Got one, Pardner pump turkey 12 gauge. Works GREAT. I don't mind taking it a field. I run and gun, so my shotgun can catch hell. I would recommend this shotgun to anyone.  ;)

My turkey gun is a 12ga pardner with a fixed MOD choke. I've lost track of how many birds I've got with that one. My friend has one of the 3.5" turkey 12ga and likes it, but he won't shoot the 3.5" shells with it anymore.
