I have a Savage also. It has a .45 PacNor barrel and is stainless on a Laminated stock. I put a 3.5X10X40 Leupold scope on it and it shoots a 195 Barnes expander at 2600 f/s. It groups 1 inch at 200 yards. I have shot several deer with it and the performance is awesome.

.50 CVA Kodiak Mag with 100 grains of pyrodex and a 250 grain sst. It has proved to be a killer the past few years. The SST's are not that expensive.

Need to get the breachplug back in my Savage. Was not planning on needing it but the freezer says I do.

I seldom Muzzleloader hunt. I enjoy bowhunting and using pistol caliber rifles during firearms season, however, I have not been able to take a buck this year, so i will be out with my CVA Optima Pro several times within the next 2 weeks.
