Being a revolver man and only owning a few 22 and 9mm autos I was wondering about the Rock Island 1911's made in the Philipenes. Anyone know the quality of these pistols? The price of $315 seems pretty good and the ads say they're 100 percent like the 1911 colt ,all parts interchange. ---Thanks for any info.--Willy

I looked at one..very tight and it seemed very well finished for a $300 piece. I may still go back and buy that one if he still has it in a few months.

Rock Island/Charles Daly will work fine once you exchange all the sloppy fitting pins for fitted ones. Trust me. They are there.
