Nosler 130Gr Accubond
« on: November 30, 2011, 04:19:25 PM »
Anybody using the Nosler 130GR Accubond for deer this year?  I have taken two New York farm country Whitetails and can only describe their performance in my TC Encore, 260 Remington rifle as awesome.  Both have been close, 50  yard shots and one shot kills.  There seems to be major devastation  on entrance and the from the exit hole bullet appears to hold together.  Neither bullet was recovered.  According to the Nosler manual these handloads should be around 2,760fps muzzle velocity.

I used it to take a dozen or so animals -- from coyotes to hogs -- and was impressed. The MV was 2639 fps from a 26" 6.5x30-30 AI, and the distances ranged from about 90 to nearly 300 yards. In each case, performance was exceptional.
