No doubt about it, SRV was a major talent. I learned about him a few years ago and wondered what he had done lately, and was saddened to read he had died in a helicopter crash while being flown from a concert about 20 years ago. That particular video isn't one of his best performances.
 
For people unfamiliar with him, try listening to the song Riviera Paradaise if you can find a recording of it.

SRV was an incredible guitarist.  When he strapped on his guitar it was like he and his instrument were one.  His playing was incredibly fluid as if he never had to think about what he was playing, it just flowed out of him.  Even Clapton once stated that he was in awe the first time he say SRV perform. 
I had the fortune to see SRV perform at Madison Square Garden about a year before he was killed in that tragic helicopter crash.

Love the Winter brothers myself. I enjoy how SRV is just having a good time moveing to his own music. Poor video but no stage tricks, just some boogie. ear

I only got to know SRV's music after his tragic death.  Ever since I believe him to be the top rock guitarist ever.  That guy was incredible and I love listening to his music and watching him play on video.  He really feels the music he played and was awesome!  This is coming from a die hard Angus Young fan but it is what it is.
