I bought this conversion for the encore pro hunter muzzleloader and now after finally getting primers put in the 25 acp shells I cannot get the gun to close when i have a shell / 25acp catridge in the breech plug. It will close without the casing/shell in and it has to be in all the way because the cutout is straight down for the removal arm to go into.
Question is can I shorten the casings a little by running a file along the end to make them shorter so they maybe will go down into the breech plug further or will this make them sloppy and create a problem for removal after firing?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

I see no reason not to try one and see, but I'd just give Cecil a call and see what he says.  Cecil Epps @ Precision Rifle....1-8778-Bullet, toll free.   Mine works like a charm but is not the Pro Hunter version. ;D

Just to update in case anyone else has this problem. It did work to run the casing along a file to shorten it to fit further in the breech plug. And called the guy mentioned (Cecil) and he said it would be fine to file the casing and it would not affect anything. So I did just that and took the gun out Sunday night and shot a doe with it.
Thanks Hopalong7 for helping out with that number for Cecil.
