My buddy Hellbent has one. It shoots real accurately, with MY handloads...

 ;D

On his rifle, his chamber is on the large size, and he had trouble with case head separations on the 2nd firing. He switched to neck sizing his brass and no further problems. That rifle will shoot though.

I have a model 40, so I do not know how the model 25 will shoot.

I looked over a new .22H Model 25 Classic Sporter, for $525 - then, because of all the plastic & the cheapo-looking detachble mag on the M25, I decided to stick with this MUCH less expensive .22H Savage 219.

Sorry.  .  ;D   .  ;D   .  ;D

I've also got the Model 40,
been shooting it for a couple years and it's great.
Most accurate Hornet that I've come across, but being a relatively budget gun, doesn't mean that they all shoot as good ?.
Accutrigger is set at 2.5lb .
Rear locking version of the 25.
Low pressures, with High velocities and great consistency if you load your own, with Lil'gun and small pistol primers. 35gr-50gr projectiles.
My favourite, Nosler 40gr BT's.
I just shoot everything with 13grs of powder, and it works for me in the single shot, and I can seat them out and not worry about fitting in a mag.
cheers,
SS
