Went out this morning , saw 5 deer. One came directly under my treestand, I had to point the gun vertical to take the shot. Pulled the trigger and nothing happened, doe walked out about 15 yards ( this time I was holding the gun horizontal) pulled the trigger again and nothing happened. Primer has slight dent in it,but it doesn't look like a normal dent. I'm using fresh ammo ,Hornady SST slugs which I shot before with no problems. Now this gun had repeatedly misfired once before and I concluded at the time it was because of a after market metal fore-end spacer I bought that was just a little to large and I believe it was causing the action to not lock up tight enough. Once I replaced it with the original plastic spacer everything was fine until this morning. Any ideas? Thanks, Im going out again this afternoon, sure glad it wasn't a nice buck! Also once a primer has been dented, even slightly as this one has, is that primer pretty much gone? Thanks again.
