I am really confused at the fuss over Cains supposed affairs - so what.  Newt and most of the Presidents except Reagan and Bush I, probably had a little side action.  I guess Newt gets bye since he married some of his mistresses, and he keeps them around at least until they get sick.

If Cain is guilty and he'd go public saying so, it would guarantee him a LOT of dem support, sin and immorality is what they admire. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

Good point PM! Maybe Cain should run on the Democrat ticket. Since many of the "vote black" Obama supporters are against him now, they could vote for Cain instead. Then when he gets to the White House, he can go big time conservative on em!........... ;D

So, which is worse?  Those who profess no moral standards, so can't fall from them?  Or those who strive towards standards and fail?
There both equally bad .
To Profess having an extramarital affair even after you pushed for impeachment of another for the exact same -  makes you a scumbag and a Hypocrite.  So much for representing the  party of family values.

Ron Paul is neither a scumbag nor a Hypocrite.
Who would you rather have representing.  One who walks the walk , or one who Just talks the talk. Frankly I'm tired of seeing those who just talk the talk and are in it for themselves to line their own pockets.

You don't hear any trash talk about Paul!.......I wonder why?

When you compare Paul's life style to the front runner, it speaks volumes about character.
Ron Paul was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Gettysburg College and the Duke University School of Medicine, before proudly serving as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force during the 1960s. He and his wife Carol moved to Texas in 1968, where he began his medical practice in Brazoria County. As a specialist in obstetrics/gynecology, Dr. Paul has delivered more than 4,000 babies. He and Carol, who reside in Lake Jackson, Texas, are the proud parents of five children and have 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

While serving in Congress during the late 1970s and early 1980s, Dr. Paul’s limited-government ideals were not popular in Washington. In 1976, he was one of only four Republican congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan for president.

He.......Walks the walk!

The reason we don't hear 'much' trash talk about Paul is because we are out of wind and exhusted from arguing with Paul supporters about his policies and ideas. We're too tired and winded to dig into his personal life. Most non-Paul supporters are satisfied with the opinion they have formed of him and made their decision about him long before they get to digging into his personal life.
I know I've heard enough!

You have no idea how many times I wished I could jump into the TV and ask some liberal pundit that very question on the air. The double standard is stunning!

You don't hear any trash about Ron Paul, Huntsman,  nor Pawlenty or Johnson before they dropped out of the race..simply because the Dems don't see them as a threat..no sense wasting their muck-raking money until a candidate starts to really take off..now you can expect trash (true & false) concerning Newt.
Whether Cain was a philanderer or not we don't/can't know, but he was judged GUILTY without proof.  Last I knew, a person should be assumed INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty.
It is interesting to note the difference in attitude which the lib media shows in such cases. They have already convicted Cain and haven't in any way questioned the credibility of the accusers.  When Clinton was running for office, Paula Jones, Kathleen Wiley and several others came forward to attest to his phi;andering.  The media not only questioned their credibility, but called them names.."big haired", "trailer trash" and conniving slut.
Then, when finally confronted with undeniable truth in the form of a blue dress..they said "that's OK"  and "everybody does that"..     ....Comical aren't they..our non-partisan media.

  1) You can only blame the GOP on digging this stuff up on Cain.
The Reps are bad enough, but the Dems are the "old pros" at the dirt digging game.
  2) If you think Cain wasn't guilty you need to pull your head out.
Are you accustomed to convicting on accusation alone ?
3)Republicans just think they have more morals, they just have more hate.
  Reps hate ?  It's not the Reps who call Cain, "uncle Tom, "house n _ _ _ _ r and traitor !

Thanks for fielding that remark about Godfather's. It was so obviously wrong since the truth about it has been all over the news, I didn't feel like dealing with it or looking it up.

  • Well; TM;
I did link to the website you placed above, but I didn't bother with the article.  Why ?  Well I surfed down the right hand side and I could see there was so much vitriol against Herman Cain..with not a word about Obama or the other candidates, I automatically figured he had a mind-bending grudge (must be a once-fired pizza delivery guy), so I couldn't trust him.
Then, hunting further in the right hand column I discovered he figures there is "better evidence for the Loch Ness monster, than for Jesus Christ". :o
  • ... And he opines as such...  "Baptism: How John and Jesus got their super powers".  :P
  • And he ventures in August,... "What Acts of the Apostles tells us about the development of the mythological Jesus"
  •   In July, he tells us why "Jesus must die".. and how MSNBC is really hammering Fox News a run in the ratings war
Sorry, he's just not credible !

Magooch,
This is where we disagree.. I do care. I am tired of RINO's and false conservatives. The Republican Party is full of them.
Newt is a RINO and a philanderer, and a scumbag. If anyone thinks hes the great conservative hope they havent been around to remember him when he was speaker. Even the Republican party soundly rejected him.
Mitt is a RINO period his only goal is the presidency and will say anything, to any group,  and switch any position necessary to achieve. An opportunist and therefore a  scumbag of a different -  just more subtle in approach.

I think folks need to really begin to separate RINO's from true conservatives. Just because someone espouses Republican talking points , doesn't mean they really believe in conservative Republican views or values.

Ron Paul is neither , he is true conservative.

Fact  -
Ron Paul carries the most conservative voting record over any member of Congress since 1937

Could it be that mainstream American voters just don't like "Conservative"
Progressive, Cutting Edge, Pro- Active and other liberal slogans sound so much more exciting.

You don't think it could possibly be because they are good people that don't have a lot of trash to talk about?

I think Paul is a serious threat, and that is why the media chooses to not talk about him at all if they can get by with it. Newt's record is like a billboard for all to see if you take the time to look!
He has a lot of baggage, and it's easy to see.

I don't believe any of those candidates have any serious trash about them, least of all paul, Pawlenty, Bachmann, Huntsman, Perry or Johnson.  Newt has had some questionable relationships in his personal life, although I doubt they are as bad as his detractors paint him.
Still, we are wanting to elect a President who can deal with the Iranians, chinese, Hugo Chavez the Russians and the like, we are not looking for someone to marry !
After seeing this clod kissing hands and whatever else.. of Islamic dictators, we need somebody who can deal strongly with aggressive foreign powers, how well do each of the candidates rate ?

Newt has had some questionable relationships in his personal life, although I doubt they are as bad as his detractors paint him.

Even setting aside his scummy personal life. because as we all know (in his own words ) he did it because he was working so hard for his country.  A true patriot Please !!

Newt had  -
84 ethics violation charges,  his speaker-ship ended by an overwhelming vote of both parties forcing him to step down..
Newt made 1.6 million from the bailouts of Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac working as a Lobbyist ...oops sorry  - Historian.
New made 40-60 million lobbying on behalf of the healthcare insurance companies. He was an early proponent of the individual mandate. He supported cap-and-trade. He supported ethanol subsidies. Gingrich was also one of the leaders behind the framing of Medicare Part D. I could go on and on...

Gingrich's supporting votes and policies go to the highest bidder.
Where have you guys been for the last 20 years.
Newt is for Newt. RINO

Ron Paul is the true conservative candidate.

If Newt becomes presiddent it will certainly be more of the same.  He is nothing if not a creature of The Beltway.  A career politician with all that title conveys.

That again was what I liked about Cain.  He wasn't a career politician and that made him at least different from the rest of the field.  Would he have been better, worse or indifferent?  We'll never know because he's aparently to handsome a man for the ladies to keep their hands off of  ::) .  His personal weakness may have cost us the oportunity to see some improvement.  Then again it may have saved us from worse.  We'll never know...... because he's ho' bait.

I would like to learn more about Republican Buddy Roemer (SP?). The media never covers him , and he is never invited to debates (apparently The RNC puts fund raising $$$ clip levels on candidates who can attend , you have to bring in so much $$$ to be considered relevant to the national conversation), and Buddy will not accept Pac monies or corporate monies of any sorts.  He will only accept Individual donations cause he does not want to be in anyones pocket and owned (pretty stand up guy on that front).

I just dont know enough about him , but it does appear he has morals and principals like Ron Paul. I heard him speak for first time on radio the other day. Would like to know more.
