The stainless barrel is 15" long and is .66 caliber. The other barrel is 19" long and is 1" bore.

Did the .66 caliber stainless barrel originally come with the carriage you're now selling/trading on the BPMaC Classifieds?

Yes, it did. Since I like my new 1" bore cannon better I am going to reassemble the .66 barrel and carriage and put it on Ebay.

I'm fairly certain that if you mic the bore of your barrel, you'll find that it measures a hair over .69 caliber, and that it's either nickel plated, or unfinished carbon steel, not stainless. Are there any marks (like SPAIN or BLACK POWDER ONLY) stamped on the barrel?

I had someone else measure the bore and was told it was .66. The barrel is stamped "SPAIN"

I've got two of them, I picked up the second one not all that long ago, just because the price was too good to pass up on. They're well made, and were intended to fire .69 caliber lead ball. I could be wrong on this, but I don't think the barrels were ever offered in stainless steel.

I shoot mine with .648 balls. They are a perfect fit. They roll in but wedge at the bottom of the bore. They won't roll out unless you rap the barrel upside down.

Well that's a new one on me then, but however you look at it, if a .648 ball rolls easily down the bore then wedges at the bottom, something isn't right, because the bore should be uniform all the way down. Is anything else stamped on the barrel other than Spain?

Could be rust damage from inadequate cleaning at the chamber.

could be just a different radius, or where the reamer stopped leaving the drilled rounded bottom of the hole slightly smaller than the bore
