Its hard to beat the looks of beautiful figured wood on a firearm. But with the endless colors laminates can be had in I find some to be striking. There are even places that will do any color combo you may like. And the laminating process makes for a strong wood and being impregnated with so much glue even helps to keep moister out and prevent warping.
Here is one that I have taken a liking to. May even look better without the gray in it. Its a three color lam. called Ember Glow.
