Picked up my new holster for my 19 today.
« on: December 05, 2011, 01:05:30 PM »
I ordered a Galco "Phoenix" dual position holster for my 6" 19 last week, from my new LGS. It came in over the weekend, but honey-do's kept me from picking it up until today. Ooohhh, pretty holster! This is my favorite wheel gun holster. I like being able to wear it strong side or cross draw. Sits on my old Desantis belt like they were made for each other. Still have to break it in, but that's normal.

I've had the same holster for my 6" 29 and 6" Anaconda for almost 20 years now. It's well worn from many, many hunting trips, but it's still going strong.

This one will outlast me, I'm sure.

Nothing like quality leather for a lifetime of good service.

Pics?  Sounds like a great holster and I'm looking for one for my 686.

I have one for my 686 and love it.  You can't go wrong with one.

I'm afraid I can't do pics until I find my cable that goes to my digital camera. I know I've seen it round here somewhere, but it's currently MIA.

A temporary casualty from the move up here.

Here's a link to the company picture:

Good looking
Holster.
Nothing better than Hot Chocolate and a smith and wesson.
You need to carry it some the holster still looks too new.

LOL,

Yeah, professional photographer I'm NOT. Didn't see the background until I posted it, dang kids.

Here's a couple more just for you. This is my first Galco, bought it 20 years ago for my 6" Anaconda (45 Colt). My 6" 29 fits in it too, so since it's the "S&W" forum, and you requested "hot chocolate and a Smith and Wesson", here ya' go!

This one's been on more hunts than I can remember, and it looks it too. Bomb proof leather.

That's what uit should look like.
That is what the Bianchi holster for my M29 looks like.
My Galco for the 686 has some wear but nothing like that.
Some day.
For pictures.  Next time the wife goes to a fabric shop ask her to get you a yard of dark green or navy blue felt.
Blue or stainless guns look great on them.
