Factory 22 inch Contender Carbine Bull barrels?
« on: January 15, 2004, 05:34:18 AM »
Hello,
I just traded into a new barrel, and it confuses me a little.  It was a factory marked 22 inch full bull carbine barrel in stainless.  I've never seen this before; no, it is not marked TC custom shop, just factory markings.  I know about 21 inch tapered barrels and the newer 23 inch full bulls, but never saw or heard of a full bull 22 inch.  Has anyone ever heard of one of these?

thanks and regards,
 graycg

There are several cases where this has happened.  T/C doesn't list the 16" 17 rimfire but Midway and Ed have them.  They are marked like a standard production barrel but built for Midway.  At some point, I did get a new 15" barrel from Ed from the custom shop and it was stamped with no Fox Ridge markings, just standard T/C markings.  I think this was from the early 90's though.  All the old custom shop barrels may have no special markings.

I have a 22" .30-.30 barrel in blue finish.
It's tapered and also has no special markings.
I estimate my barrel is 10 years old.
