What can you tell me about the   THOMPSON CENTER ARMS HAWKEN SILVER ELITE muzzle loader? When were they made? How many were made?

One of the few T/C traditionals I never owned, but I did find one in T/C's # 25 catalog, from 1998. It shows an all stainless steel Hawken .50 caliber only, with a satin finish. All metal parts appear to be SS. No patchbox though. The front and rear sights are blue. Nice looking MZ. I'm sure there aren't many out there.

Nobody is going to be able to tell you how many were made with any accuracy, not even TC themselves (see below).

Can tell you that they were first cataloged in 1996 (probably as a replacement for the Hawken Custom they dropped in 1995), and again in 1997.   The TC plant fire in March 1997 destroyed (among other things) the traditional firearms records, stock shop and the tooling for several models.    So I doubt they were made and distributed for more than something over a year.

Most of my data base is in storage someplace, but I do have all the specs for this model in hand if the above doesn't answer all your questions.

Edit to add... the '98 catalog entry is likely left over and final assembly from parts made before the fire, not new manufacture.   I'm not going to go dig through storge to find all my catalogs to confirm if they were cataloged past '98 though.   Maybe somebody else has them handy.

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus
